ABOUT THE ARTIST

American, b. 1948

Bruce Richards, born in Dayton Ohio, is predominantly known and highly respected for his paintings, prints, and watercolors in which always entail a symbolic story. He studied at the University of California, Irvine where he received both his B.A. and M.F.A.

Richards has had many solo exhibitions in California and his work can be found in public collections of the Laguna Beach Museum of Art, Long Beach Museum of Art, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art, Grunwald Center for Graphic Arts, and Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
